Wesley Henry

Wesley is currently an Academic Program Specialist for the University of Washington Graduate School where he works with colleges and departments from across the three UW campuses to build new graduate programs and to review existing programs. Previously, Wesley served as the Assistant Director for a graduate program in Education Policy at the UW College of Education. He started his career as a teacher at a public High School in Philadelphia. As an educator, Wesley came to understand the important role that PBS plays in local communities as affiliates provide local content and high-quality educational programming. Wesley is a doctoral candidate in education policy at the University of Washington where he is investigating rural school and district leadership, community resources that support learning in schools, and the role of professional associations in the development of systems and leaders. Wesley is a member of the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA) national Graduate Student Council. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Georgia and a Master’s Degree in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
