About the Filmmaker

Micaela Colman grew up in Washington. She attended Kent-Meridian High school before becoming a College Success Foundation Achievers scholar and receiving her Bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.

From there Micaela went on to get her Master’s Degree in Film and Television from The University of Southern California. She has directed many shorts that have been accepted into various film festivals and is currently working on a feature length project called “The Phantom Queen.” Micaela feels most drawn to character study stories with strong female leads.

Other films include, Rue’s Eden, Nzara ’76 (Producer) and The Paranormal Shopping Network.
