Everyone should know STARCIA

A huge congratulations to the folks at TVW for their regional Emmy® nomination for the Engaged Special - STARCIA. Some documentaries draw an audience for their flash, for their celebrity, for their stylistic ingenuity. The power of this documentary emanates directly from its central character, Starcia Ague. Starcia grew up in a situation that would have broken many of us--she was homeless at the age of six; she was living in a meth lab at age 12; and by age 15, she was facing felony charges for robbery and kidnapping. Flash forward to 2013: Starcia is named the Crosscut Courage Award winner in Public Service. It's hard not to sound cliché when trying to summarize this woman's resilience in a single paragraph, so we will let the documentary convey how truly inspirational Starcia is.
