Bumbershoot, football and Geekaraoke — oh, my!

Obviously, Bumbershoot is the highlight event of the weekend. But if tickets are just a little too pricey for your wallet, there’s still plenty of fun to be had! The Huskies kick off their season this Saturday, and Sunday is shaping up to be a Funday!

Bumbershoot 2016

Bumbershoot 2016 is in full swing this weekend! This year's lineup features local acts such as DoNormaal, Naked Giants and Snuff Redux, to name a few. Bigger acts include Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Tyler the Creator, Death Cab for Cutie and Billy Idol. There will also be no shortage of awesome visual art, comedy shows, films and EDM. Don't forget to pop over to the Sub Pop Records pop-up stand as well! (See more)

Back to the Improv Free Show

Saturday, Sept. 3

UW vs. Rutgers University

Our beloved Huskies are at it again! Wear your purple and gold and join fans this Saturday morning as the Huskies kick off the new season. If you can't make it to the game in person, PAC12 will be airing the game live. #GoHuskies! (See more)

Saturday, Sept. 3

WSU vs. Eastern Washington

Don't worry, we didn't forget about you Cougs fans out there. Watch them as they (hopefully) dominate the Eagles this Saturday night! This game will also be aired on PAC12. #GoHuskies! (Sorry, Cougs). (See more)

Sunday, Sept. 4

Board Game Sunday

Sunday, Sept. 4

Geekaraoke at Hula Hula

Pull out your Frodo cloak and your lightsaber and head over to Hula Hula for some karaoke! Best costume wins a $200 cash prize!  (See more

Jen Germain is a producer with Spark Public. Jen is a graduate of the Film and Video Program at (the former) Seattle Central Community College, as well as a graduate of the Communications Program at Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, CO. She completed an internship with Filmateria Studios and worked as a videographer with Pixel Dust Weddings before commencing working as a freelance production crew member and producer.

Fun fact: Her favorite TV show is Gilmore Girls, and she binge-watches the entire series at least twice a year.
