Weekender: Top Family Events for Seattle and the Eastside

We’ve rounded up outings to please every family in the Puget Sound this weekend!

September 14, 2018

It's still summer! Technically, right? But weather and the developing rhythm of school routines are sure making it feel like fall. At least the rain-all-week forecast seems to have been off. Hopefully it holds this way through the weekend for family fun with frogs, fish, fruit, full moons, fiestas and more. Go to it.

It's another weekend chance to do the Puyallup (that's the fair, folks), riding the rides and petting the piggies, or go during the week if you're not tied to the school schedule. Test your mettle against the sky-high glass deck of the revamped Space Needle. Go play at this terrific and multi-faceted new playground, pick local apples for school lunches (or pie!) or find a thrill at these adventurous playgrounds. And don't forget, our family fun calendar has dozens of great activities for every day of the week.
