Over a foot of snow fell in some parts of Western Washington on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017. As schools and offices closed, children and adults seized the opportunity to play in the wet, winter wonderland. Colorful sleds lined hills and skis saw their first urban adventure.
But the snow wasn’t all fun and games. Snow-laden trees caused power outages for thousands of residents. Streets were closed and many flights out of Sea-Tac were cancelled.
