Incumbent U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D) and challenger Susan Hutchison (R) face off at Spokane Community College for the second of two debates before the Nov. 6 election. For this town hall-style event, the candidates will be answering questions posed by voters. The debate will be moderated by Hayley Guenther (KHQ), Jane McCarthy (KREM), Jim Camden (Spokesman Review), Mark Baumgarten (KCTS/Crosscut). While awaiting the debate, I reviewed Both Cantwell's and Hutchinson's background and community work.  Ms Cantwell lists nothing regarding working on anything in Washington State.  She only mentions her love of hiking and climbing.  Does she even know what's going on in Washington State?  On the other hand, Ms Hutchinson has a very long record of community service.  I think Ms Cantwell has lost touch with Washington constituents.  I plan to vote for Susan Hutchinson.

Stop beating around the bush, Hutchison! Answer the questions! We want direct answers. How much are you hiding? Why would you beat around the bush if you are not hiding anything?
