KCTS 9 Cooks

Chef Thierry Rautureau

November 6, 2014

Chef Thierry Rautuereau - aka The Chef in the Hat - owns Loulay Kitchen & Bar and Luc, both in Seattle.

In this interview, Chef Thierry Rautuereau talked about the inspiration behind his cooking.

"The reason I wanted to become a chef is because I listened to my mother, who said that: if you're a chef, you can travel the world around ,you're always fed, you're always warm, you have a roof above your head - what else could you do that possibly could be better?"

On Saturday, November 8, he will show viewers how to cook a Pan Seared Polenta with Wild Mushrooms & Gruyere Crisp. Tune in at 10:00 am on KCTS 9 or livestream at kcts9.org/cooks!
