Carol Cubilie from Redmond, Washington shares her Phirni recipe.

"This dessert is an East Indian rice pudding, not the traditional American rice pudding. It is flavored with freshly ground cardamon and rose water.  The garnish is chopped roasted unsalted pistachios.  I first tasted this dish in Washington D.C. at the home of a family friend who was a retired physician from UNICEF. She gave me a list of ingredients and some of the amounts so I played with it until  I thought is tasted the same."
