KCTS 9 Cooks

About KCTS 9 Cooks

KCTS 9 Cooks is a home cooking show that is produced three times a year with the best cooks we know - our viewers and local chefs!

Every new Cooks episode comes with a companion cookbook, usually with 300+ recipes, featuring appetizers, main entrées, desserts, and everything in between.

KCTS 9 Cooks is all about creative people who love the adventure of trying something new in the kitchen. We’ve been cooking up a storm since 1996, and your support is our secret ingredient!

Host Mark Christopher

Mark has hosted KCTS9 cooks since 2009. He is busy throughout the community as emcee or host of many popular year round events (Seafair, Christmas in Seattle, Summer festivals, Benefit Auctions, and various Concert venues).  Mark also has a deep rolodex of stars and performers he has interviewed. Most recent names added in 2014 would include Barry Manilow, Jackie Evancho, Martin Short, Steve Harvey, Burt Bacharach, Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell, Richard Marx, Lily Tomlin, Cyndi Lauper and a rare chat with violinist Mair'ead of Celtic Woman (very shy).
