After a special session with little progress, what are her expectations of lawmakers as they deal with a $1.4 billion dollar revenue shortfall? About Christine GregoireGregoire is the 22nd and current Governor of the state of Washington. Gregoire took office after defeating Republican candidate Dino Rossi in 2004, and was re-elected in 2008. She is the second female governor of Washington. She was the National Governors Association chairwoman for the 2010-11 term.
