Production Manager

March 13, 2018

Cascade Public Media is looking for a highly organized digital media expert to coordinate the work of our teams of multimedia journalists in the development, production and distribution of the finest public-interest journalism in the Pacific Northwest.

CPM is the parent company of the 64-year-old public television institution KCTS 9 and the award-winning regional news site Crosscut. As other local media outlets decline, we are on the rise, investing in more deep-diving coverage of politics, the arts, the environment and tech — the things that bring people to the Pacific Northwest and keep them here.

The Production Manager will work closely with the Executive Editor, Managing Editor and section editors, coordinating resources and priorities to produce a steady stream of exceptional, timely and high-impact journalism, while helping to expand the reach of our work via the use of data, innovation and partnerships with other media organizations.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced digital media expert with a deep understanding of web publishing practices and platforms, a passion for data and analytics, and a drive for innovation in a fast-changing media landscape. He or she will work collaboratively with a team of seasoned editors and audience engagement specialists, enforcing deadlines and pushing for constant iteration and improvement.
