Marcom Programming Project Coordinator

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

I. Support Programming and Traffic

1.  Submit daily programming lineup to all ratings services (Nielsen or others as applicable) along with any necessary corrections

2.  Submit weekly programming schedule to all U.S. and Canadian listing services, and internal stakeholders

3.  Enter program schedules into ProTrack

4.  Compile programming schedules for monthly internal meetings and CAB meetings

5.  Pull ratings reports for internal and external stakeholders as requested

6.  Coordinate local interstitial schedule and communicate internally with Traffic, Content and Corporate Sponsorship teams

7.  Curate local content for Cove and work with digital team to manage on the website

8.  Track program acquisitions and inventory (contract windows), making reports available to stakeholders

9.  Keep Programming section on the Intranet up-to-date

10.  Track and complete SABS report and other internal program reporting requirements as needed

11.  Code and process programming invoices

12.  Coordinate the details of local programming contracts, closed captioning, music rights requirements, etc.

13.  Assist, as requested, in previewing programs and providing recommendations based on station strategy and mission

14.  Assist with programming department budget projections and tracking

II. Support Marketing and Communications

1.  Support Marcom Managing Editor in gathering and/or writing content for marketing materials such as weekly enews letters, monthly viewer guide and additional departmental projects and assignments

2.  Proofread weekly enews letters and report changes

3.  Set up trade agreements in ProTrack and coordinate deliverables in trade, sponsorship, and underwriting agreements

4.  Draft internal communications and post to the intranet once approved

5.  Update intranet hero photo weekly

6.  Draft press releases as needed

7.  Develop marketing and communication project briefs as needed

8.  Maintain database of external media contacts and partner organizations

9.  Gather content from PBS Press Room

10.  Collect brand stories and testimonials for the annual report and other communication materials

11.  Create design request for Marcom campaigns as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

1.  Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast, Journalism, Communications or other related field, or equivalent job experience required

2.  Excellent written and verbal communication required

3.  Experience in project management strongly required

4.  Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) required

5.  Working knowledge of broadcast production process and traffic management systems strongly preferred

6.  Adept at working both independently and collaboratively to accomplish goals and objectives within deadlines

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1.  Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time

2.  Ability to regularly type on a keyboard

3.  Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
