Individual Giving Coordinator

Working under the direction of the Membership Director, the Individual Giving Program coordinator is responsible for recognizing and engaging a portfolio of donors at the $500-$1,199 level.  This includes strategy development, coordination and collaboration with senior staff.  This position assists with prospect research and moves management.


I.  Lead

  1. Manage relationships with a portfolio of donors  at the $500 – $1,199 range
  2. Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward individuals while working collaboratively with other members of the Philanthropy team
  3. Assist the Membership Director in planning and executing membership programs (ie: Passport, Sustainers, etc.) as well as communication and stewardship opportunities for donors at this level     
  4. Cultivate relationships primarily through regular phone and letter contact
  5. Identify major donor and planned giving prospects and work with other team members to move donors through the donor lifecycle
  6. Serve as a well-informed representative and advocate for Cascade Public Media


II.  Collaborate

  1. Attend development team meetings and development department meetings
  2. Coordinate prospect plans with Director of Philanthropy, Planned Giving Officer and Major Gifts staff
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with other Development professionals in the community
  4. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice



  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  2. Two years’ experience fundraising for non-profit organizations required
  3. Must excel in working with high net-worth individuals, families, and have the ability to compel investment in KCTS 9’s mission
  4. Demonstrated successful experience and effectiveness in prospect identification, relationship building, and annual solicitation
  5. Thorough working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
  6. Strong research skills, fundraising database and membership management experience preferred


  1. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Washington State driver license
  2. Ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays
  3. Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  4. Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  5. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
