Business Intelligence Analyst

Promote a culture of data by advancing the accessibility, visibility, clarity, and illumination of data through dashboards and other reporting tools. This includes: designing, developing, deploying, managing, and maintaining data dashboards and the tools used to build them.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

I.  Manage CPM Business Intelligence (BI) Stack

  1. Manage a portfolio of analytics tools related to web, social, on-air (TV), email, other digital, and donor analytics
  2. Administration, including user account management, configuration, setup
  3. Dashboard and BI tool Governance, including management of naming conventions, maintaining currency and compatibility, archiving strategy, business rules, documentation
  4. User support and training
  5. Serve as the primary point of contact for BI vendors

II.  Create and Maintain Dashboards

  1. Maintain and deliver monthly dashboards
  2. Enhance and maintain Project/Campaign tracking dashboards
  3. End-to-end custom dashboard builds, including: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and sharing

III.  Manage Data Connections and APIs

  1. Maintain and configure data connections which include APIs for web, social, other digital media, and CRM data sources
  2. Integrate data from other sources
  3. Contribute to the overall data architecture and integration strategy

IV.  Knowledge Sharing

  1. Design and implement a robust strategy for regular sharing of dashboards at in-person meetings, intranet, and other communication channels
  2. Set up and maintain scheduled dashboard delivery/reports
  3. Serve as a key contributor to the data accessibility, visibility, and adoption strategy
  4. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of experience in the business intelligence space
  2. Experience building dashboards on Business Intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Grow, Salesforce,, which connect to data sources across media channels (social, web, email, CRM,)
  3. Familiarity with data visualization best practices and techniques
  4. Familiarity with Salesforce reports and dashboards is preferred
  5. A high level of competency in Microsoft Excel and Access (including formulas, pivot tables & charting), Word and PowerPoint is required
  6. Experience with SQL or SOQL is preferred
  7. Strong independent thinking and problem solving abilities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  2. Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  3. Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  4. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
