TEDxSeattle: A Tall Order

Saturday, November 17, 2018
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This event has expired.

A tall order, by definition, is demanding. It’s a significant and potentially unreachable challenge. Looking to the past, we can find wildly successful tall orders. Some may even seem small when viewed through the lens of today’s challenges. This year, we identify and examine ideas that stretch goals, strive for the seemingly unattainable, and explore what happens when a goal proves to be “too tall.”

Interactive Activities

During the lunch break, we will set up conversation tables where attendees can meet, mingle and discuss topics and areas relevant to our current world. Topics can range from Education, Changes in Seattle, Access to Health Care, or the best hikes within an hour of the city. To ensure the topics are close to your heart, we are asking YOU for suggestions. What’s important to you? What do you think is an idea worth discussing and sharing? It’s an easy and fun way to share great ideas with other thoughtful people at this once-a-year event. Just visit our reservation page and tell us what actions and ideas you’d like to exchange with your neighbors.

Box Lunch Pre-Orders

This year, we are offering Box Lunches available for pre-purchase. Each option includes a sandwich, potato chips, and a dessert bar. One of the options is vegan/gluten-free. Since outside food is not allowed in McCaw Hall, we encourage attendees to select one of these options and join your neighbors for the activities and discussions scheduled in the lobby. Pre-orders will end on Thursday, November 1st.
