What: Seattle Youth Empowerment Day, open to youth ages 12–21. 

When: Saturday Aug. 6, 2016 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Check-in begins at 9 a.m., program will begin at 9:15am.
Where: MOHAI
Cost: $10

Calling all future leaders! Join MOHAI and NonprofitLeader.Org for Seattle's second annual Youth Empowerment Day! During this day-long event, youths will have the opportunity to work alongside local nonprofit leaders to deepen their knowledge of issues affecting their local peers and gain hands-on experience making an impact in their own communities. Everyone will leave having made a difference!
Youth Empowerment Day features a variety of sessions combining guest speakers and hands-on activities with a focus on solutions. Session topics include:
  • Youth Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Ryther
  • Homelessness, Redeeming Soles
  • Refugee Communities, International Rescue Committee
  • Social Entrepreneurship, Angels for Angels
