Seattle Symphony: Rimsky-Korsakov Scheherazade & Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto

UPCOMING

Friday, March 25, 2016 to Sunday, March 27, 2016

This event has expired.

Let your imagination run wild with picturesque music about enchanted lakes, mythical rivers and the voyages of Sinbad, as a wily queen saves her life by telling her new husband stories in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto is heroic in its own right, basking in luscious melodies and vulnerable, heartfelt sentiments. Both pieces are twinned in this all-Russian program featuring Grammy-winning violinist Augustin Hadelich.
