Conservative commentators, a progressive columnist and a journalist - they'll all head to Everett to talk about today's biggest issues and add their own perspectives to topics ranging from politics to historic preservation.

  • Looking Ahead: What will local primaries and the future elections hold?

Where: Everett Historic Theater | 2911 Colby Ave | Everett, WA 98201

When: Thursday, April 26th | Doors at 6:30 p.m | Panel begins at 7 p.m.

About the Panelists

Florangela Davila is the Managing Editor at Crosscut. A veteran Seattle journalist, she worked for 14 years as a staff reporter covering race, immigration, and features at The Seattle Times. She's been a longtime arts contributor to KNXK-FM as well as Crosscut.

Knute Berger is Crosscut's Mossback. Born and raised in Seattle, he writes with his own Pacific Northwest perspective. He also writes the monthly Gray Matters column for Seattle magazine where he is Editor-at-Large, and is an occasional commentator on KUOW-FM's "Week in Review."

John Carlson is synonymous with Washington State Politics. He has led three successful statewide initiatives and worked briefly in the Reagan Administration before serving as Communications Director for Republican Washington State Chairman Jennifer Dunn. Now, he's heard daily on KVI, weekday mornings from 6 to 10am.

Kirby Wilbur began working for KVI in 1993, where he stayed until 2009. After leaving KVI, he worked as State Director of Americans for Prosperity, was elected State Chairman of the Republican Party, and went on to become Executive Director of the National Journalism Center in Reston, Virginia. Kirby returned to the airwaves on KVI in January 2016.
