Nationally-recognized painter Kehinde Wiley has gained widespread acclaim with his colorful, Baroque-style portraits of his fellow Brooklynites in aristocratic scenes. In this discussion, panelists will talk about the racial and social issues Wiley's paintings bring attention to, and what problems may arise from them.

Panelists include:

  • Gary Faigin, co-founder of Gage
  • Negarra A. Kudumu, Frye Museum educator
  • Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes, writer, artist and filmmaker
