Caroline Kennedy

May 2, 2011

Caroline Kennedy talks with Enrique Cerna about her new book, "She Walks in Beauty: A Woman's Journey Through Poems", her famous family, and what's next for her own career.

About Caroline Kennedy

The only living child of President John F. Kennedy and first lady Jackie Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy is an accomplished attorney and well-known public figure. She is also the author of several books, including a new collection of poems on marriage and motherhood called "She Walks in Beauty." Kennedy is also a lawyer and editor serving on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations. Kennedy has remained reserved about her political view and personal life, and ran briefly for Senate appointment, but withdrew before the selection. She contributed to both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama's presidential campaigns, and publicly endorsed Obama, stating: "I have never had a president who inspired me the way people tell me that my father inspired them. But for the first time, I believe I have found the man who could be that president—not just for me, but for a new generation of Americans."
