Join Convivencia, the De Cajón Project, the Seattle Fandango Project and La Raza UW for a screening from the PBS series Black in Latin America. Hosted by Henry Louis Gates, Jr., the program examines how African heritage continues to be an integral part of Latin American identities and society. A panel of guests including Monica Rojas, Jabali Stewart, Francisco Orozco, Ricardo Güity, Francisco Orrozco and Silvio Aleixo dos Reis will share perspectives on Afro-Latino experiences in Peru, Mexico, Belize, Trinidad and Brazil.
