UW budget cuts

Budget cuts by the legislature are starting to impact our state’s colleges and universities. Lawmakers cut $500 million from higher education over the next two years. We sat down with University of Washington President Mark Emmert to talk about how the cuts are affecting our state’s biggest school in the form of staff layoffs, tuition increases, enrollment cuts, and reduced resources for students.
