Former Bush Administration Surgeon General Richard Carmona is on a new mission to help America fight chronic, but preventable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and even cancer. In this interview, Carmona tells why our healthcare system is actually a “sick-care” system; which chronic diseases are the biggest burden on the system; and how much money and how many lives we could save if we focused on prevention instead of just treatment.
