Dear Mr. Regan,
My father, Martin Allain, was in Moorsburg when you were there. Do you remember the soldier who climbed up the flag pole and took down the German flag to replace it with the American flag? That was my Dad. I heard that story all of my life as a bed night story.....and I grew up seeing the old flag among his things.
Rita Foster wrote his story in the "Soldiers" magazine some years ago. I can send the pdf file to you when a knowledgeable computer person comes back home if you would like to see it.
Thank you for your service and I sincerely enjoyed you interview with Oliver North on War Stories!
