White Pass Ski Resort
White Pass has a colorful history as one of the most popular ski resorts in the State.
About the Episode
White Pass ski area was established in 1952, literally by the hands of the local ski club. It now boasts over 130,000 visitors a year. Many of the skiers come from the west side of the Cascades to escape long lines and gray weather. The opening of the Paradise Basin in 2010 doubled the size of White Pass and has also opened many opportunities for future growth and popularity.

Showcase Yakima is a monthly show on KYVE 47 hosted by Thane Phelan, which looks at economic development projects that positively impact the Yakima Valley community.
About the Host, Thane Phelan
Thane Phelan is the host and co-producer of Showcase Yakima. A ten year veteran in the broadcasting market, with a long history of community involvement, Thane currently serves as the Communications and Events Director at the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce.

KYVE 47 has served Yakima and Central Washington, a region with a population of more than 250,000 residents, since its founding as a community-supported public television station in 1962. Since 1994, KCTS Television has held the license for KYVE.
