KCTS 9 Connects For April 18, 2008

Three separate lawsuits are trying to force the team to stay put. In this week's commentary, Crosscut publisher David Brewster tells why we ought to just let 'em go! The award-winning film chronicles the story of an Iraq war veteran shot and paralyzed just days after being deployed, who now opposes the war. During his trip, the exiled leader of Tibet was treated more like a rock star than a Buddhist monk. Now 40, Lolita is already well beyond the age at which most captive orcas die. One Whidbey Island man has been working for Lolita's release for more than a decade says time is running out. But is this killer whale worth saving? And after four decades in captivity, is she even equipped to survive?
