Air Date: August 7, 2009

She has covered every president from John F. Kennedy to Barrack Obama, becoming perhaps the most famous member of the White House Press Corps. But even at 88, Helen Thomas shows no signs of slowing down. Serving first as a correspondent, then White House Bureau Chief for UPI, and later as a columnist for Hearst Newspapers, Thomas has earned a reputation as a feisty and unrelenting journalist who will put any president through his paces.

In this Conversations at KCTS 9, Enrique Cerna talks with Thomas about her 60-year career in journalism; her secret thoughts about some of our nation’s most notorious Chief Executives, including John Kennedy Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and most recently George W. Bush; and her recent Edward R. Murrow Lifetime Achievement Award from Washington State University.
