Banana Blue Smoothie
KCTS 9 Cooks for the Holidays, October 2009Frozen bananas help keep this fruit smoothie nice and cold.
Makes 1 smoothie
Ingredients
1/2 large banana, peeled, cut into pieces and frozen
2 large fresh strawberries, rinsed and sliced
1/4 cup blueberries
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons nonfat plain or vanilla yogurt
2 ice cubes, cracked (tap them with the back of a spoon)
Preparation
Place the frozen banana pieces, strawberries, blueberries, milk, vanilla, yogurt, and ice cubes in a blender. Blend until smooth.
