Ken Messer, General Manager

A native to Yakima, Ken has been the Vice President and General Manager for KIMA/KEPR/KLEW TV (CBS) KNUW (Univision) for 12 years. Messer is very active in the local Yakima community. In addition to his board position with Washington Wine Country he serves on the board of the Casey Family Programs, The United Way, Sundown M Ranch, The Yakima Regional Hospital and is Chairman of the Central Washington State Fair Rodeo Association.

Rod Venable, Chief Engineer

Rod started at KYVE in 1988 as Chief engineer oversee all technical operations of the studio and transmitter locations. Before moving to Yakima Rod worked seven years in commercial television as an engineer supervisor for both ABC and CBS affiliates. Rod’s hobbies include gardening, golfing, fishing, camping, motorcycles and hotrods.

Marlena Buchanan, Production & Special Events Director

Marlena joined the KYVE team in 2007 as the Production Director. Marlena handles local marketing, production of local programming, underwriting and public service announcements, fundraising, events and social networking. Her background includes more than 10 years in the non-profit industry primarily in fund raising including various community and public-private partnerships around the Valley.

Marilee Sinclair, Business Manager

Marilee has been the Business Manager for KYVE since March 1996. She is the Mother of three and the Grandmother of two. Marilee and her husband like to travel and we have been to a few exotic locations.

Quentin Coulter, Video Production

Quentin joined the KYVE staff in 2009 bringing with him more than 20 years of video production experience. The majority of his experience involved a full spectrum of productions, including more than 20 full-length documentaries at KIMA-TV. Quentin currently sits on the Video Production Class Advisory Board for the Yakima Valley Technical Skill Center.
