The Savory 6 with Kristin Moore

Welcome to The Savory 6 – a weekly column featuring six weekly questions for one of the guests on our show. Check, Please! Northwest is all about dining out, but that’s not the only thing that happens at the table. When you put three strangers together and encourage banter, anything can happen! It’s a happy byproduct of the show and it’s one of my favorite parts – getting to know all of these food-loving folks. In this weekly article, we get to dig a little deeper into one of our guest’s culinary quirks and preferences.

This week, meet guest Kristin Moore. Kristin nominated Lunchbox Laboratory in Bellevue. Don’t forget to check out the show to see her favorite burger, the Burger of the Gods! Tune in tonight (5/29) at 7:30pm on KCTS 9. Watch Kristin's restaurant pick online now.

Meet Kristin Moore…

How often do you dine out?
At least once a week.

Fill in the blank: If I see something with _____ on a menu, I HAVE to order it.
CRÈME FRAICHE

What is your signature dish—something you make well and consistently?
Meaty, cheesy, saucy, thick, need-nap-after-you-eat-it Lasagna

Do you have a morning consumption ritual & what is it?
Picking out a special Keurig K-Cup to brew for the morning drive!

Most awesome OR annoying food trend?
Annoying: Bacon Abuse & Exploitation... Bacon-flavored [fill in the blank]...milkshakes and ice cream with bacon mixed in, etc. I love bacon but the trend caricaturizes bacon in an annoying way. Awesome: this surge in the utilization of pretzel bread :)

If you were stuck on a deserted island and only had ONE food with you, what would it be?
Cured Meat...salami, coppa, prosciutto, etc :)
