About the Host, Enrique Cerna
Enrique Cerna is the co-creator, host, and executive producer of the weekly current affairs program KCTS 9 Connects. He is a five time Northwest Regional Emmy Award winner with more than 37 years of experience in the Seattle broadcast market. Enrique joined KCTS 9 in 1995. In 2003, The Seattle Weekly honored him with a Best of Seattle Editors' Choice selection as Best TV Host. In 2006, Seattle Magazine named Enrique one its 26 most influential people of the year for his broadcast work.
Comments
I would like to hear a discussion of the regressive aspects of tolling as a method of funding transportation. Clearly a toll has essentially no effect on the lifestyle of an affluent person yet significantly impacts lower income people. Since one of the goals of tolling is to get people to use public transportation, what it does in effect is "privatize" the roads for the use of the more effluent while forcing the less affluent into less efficient, less comfortable public transit. If that doesn't qualify as legislated discrimination I don't know what does.
