KCTS 9 Connects/Cop Cameras - June 10, 2011
About the Episode
In the wake of a number of incidents where police officers were accused of using excessive force - including a deadly shooting - some feel that the only way to document the incident and hold officers accountable is through the use of small cameras worn on the uniform, ensuring an unbiased account. But not everyone is in favor of this measure, which could potentially make investigations more confusing. We take an inside look into the issue, and hear from Seattle City Council member Bruce Harrell and a representative from the ACLU (American Civil Liberty Union).
Also, we'll talk with local journalist Dorothy Parvaz about her terrifying experience being held captive in Syria and Iran.
