On June 28, 1969, the gay community experienced what one reporter called its "Rosa Parks moment.” NYC police raided a Greenwich Village Mafia-run gay bar, The Stonewall Inn, but for the first time ever, the patrons refused to be led into paddy wagons setting off a violent three-day riot that launched the gay rights movement.

Join KCTS 9 for a special pre-screening of American Experience's 90-minute documentary, Stonewall Uprising, telling the dramatic story of the Stonewall Riots in Greenwich Village, NYC in 1969.

This event is free. The RSVP period is closed, but we still have seats available! Please join us at Northwest Film Forum this afternoon!
