Michelle Garrison, Ph.D., UW Dept. of Health Services & Seattle Children’s Research Institute
We’ve all heard about the importance of a good night's sleep, but only recently are we learning what a critical impact sleep during childhood has on health, obesity, learning, behavior, and emotional regulation, even into adulthood. At the July Queen Anne Science Café, join UW and the Seattle Children’s Research Institute’s Michelle Garrison, Ph.D., to discover why childhood sleep matters, and what we can all do to help kids get the best possible sleep. Download the PDF flyer.

Queen Anne Science Café is held on the first Tuesday of each month. Did you miss a café and want to hear the discussion? Most Science Cafés are recorded by KCTS 9 and are available for online viewing. Queen Anne Science Cafés take place at T.S. McHugh's and are presented in partnership with Pacific Science Center and KCTS 9.
