Speaker Hunter Hoffman is a Research Scientist in the Human Interface Technology Laboratory at the University of Washington and studies the use of virtual reality systems to alleviate burn victim pain, relieve spider phobias, and treat PostTraumatic Stress Disorder. He received his PhD in Cognitive Psychology from UW in 1992.
