Dust, soot, smoke--parts of Pierce County have higher levels of these air pollutants than anywhere else in Washington State.

At the December Tacoma Science Café, join Erik Saganic from the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency to discuss how this type of air pollution affects our health and what can be done to improve local air quality.

The Tacoma Science Cafe is your opportunity to talk with researchers about science and technology research—all in the comfortable atmosphere of a local pub.

Tacoma  Science Café is held on the second Tuesday of each month. Did you miss a café and want to hear the discussion? Most Science Cafés are recorded by KCTS 9 and are available for online viewing. Eastside Science Cafés take place at The Swiss Pub in Tacoma and are presented in partnership with Pacific Science Center and KCTS 9.
