It’s Alaska vs. Washington at the December Queen Anne Science Café! Sarah Gaichas and Chris Harvey, researchers from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), will talk about marine ecosystem science and management in Alaskan and Puget Sound waters. In particular, they will contrast Alaska, where fisheries are the major human activity, with Puget Sound, where human activities are more varied.

Queen Anne Science Café is held on the first Tuesday of each month. Did you miss a café and want to hear the discussion? Most science cafés are taped by KCTS 9 and are available for online viewing. Queen Anne Science Cafes take place at T.S. McHugh's and are presented in partnership with Pacific Science Center, Science on Tap and KCTS 9.
