History Cafe: South Lake Union
MOHAI's public historian, Dr. Lorraine McConaghy, will share stories about Lake Union and its surrounding areas, just as MOHAI is preparing to open a new museum in the rapidly changing South Lake Union neighborhood.
Join us on the third Thursday of the month at Roy Street Coffee on Capitol Hill for lively a discussion about history. Most History Cafés are recorded by KCTS 9 and are available to watch online. Each History Café features a different topic, and invites history enthusiasts to come together and share what you know. Grab a cup of coffee -- or glass of wine -- and enjoy learning about the past! Seating at History Café is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Optional RSVP at Meetup.
This event series is brought to you by MOHAI, The Seattle Public Library, HistoryLink.org, Roy Street Coffee and KCTS 9.
Parking: Roy Street Coffee & Tea has a parking garage that offers limited free parking to café customers. If that lot is full, metered and unmetered street parking can be found nearby, or we recommend parking in lots at any of the following locations: NE corner of Broadway and Mercer ($8 evenings), Mercer between Harvard and Broadway ($6-9 evenings), Thomas between Harvard and Broadway ($6 evenings).
