Dr. Valerie Morris, Ph.D. studies the molecular mechanisms that control leukemia, cancer of the blood. Join her at the June Tacoma Science Café to explore how she looks at the big picture of how leukemia cells arise, survive and grow in order to pinpoint which cellular changes are vital to perpetuating the disease.

Tacoma Science Café is held on the second Tuesday of each month. Tacoma Science Cafés take place at The Swiss Pub and are presented in partnership with Pacific Science Center and KCTS 9.
