A current and concerning topic, sports concussions are brain injuries affecting athletes in nearly every sport, from professionals and adults to students and kids. At the March Queen Anne Science Café, join UW Medicine’s Stanley Herring, M.D., to explore the causes, symptoms, effects, and recovery from this common sports injury that can have dramatic consequences. How do we keep athletes of all ages safe? Download the flyer (PDF)

The Queen Anne Science Cafe is your opportunity to talk with researchers about science and technology research—all in the comfortable atmosphere of a local pub.

Queen Anne Science Café is held on the first Tuesday of each month. Did you miss a café and want to hear the discussion? Most Science Cafés are recorded by KCTS 9 and are available for online viewing. Queen Anne Science Cafes take place at T.S. McHugh's and are presented by Pacific Science Center and KCTS 9.
