As global warming continues, we hear a lot about melting polar ice, warming oceans, and their potential consequences. At the April Tacoma Science Café, join Dr. Mike Steele from UW's Polar Science Center to discuss his experiences in the Arctic studying how our changing climate is affecting the Arctic Ocean. The Tacoma Science Cafe is your opportunity to talk with researchers about science and technology research—all in the comfortable atmosphere of a local pub.

Tacoma Science Café is held on the second Tuesday of each month. Did you miss a café and want to hear the discussion? Most Science Cafés are recorded by KCTS 9 and are available for online viewing. Eastside Science Cafés take place at The Swiss Pub in Tacoma and are presented in partnership with Pacific Science Center and KCTS 9.
