Climate changes in the Pacific Northwest will have profound impacts on local agriculture as it changes growing seasons and water availability. At the March Tacoma Science Café, join the U.S. Geological Survey’s Matt Bachmann, Ph.D., to discover how our changing climate will impact Washington as the number two wine-producing state in the nation and provider 75% of the domestic supply of hops for beer.

Tacoma Science Café is held on the second Tuesday of each month. Did you miss a café and want to hear the discussion? Most Science Cafés are recorded by KCTS 9 and are available for online viewing. Tacoma Science Cafés take place at The Swiss Pub and are presented in partnership with Pacific Science Center and KCTS 9.
