You and a guest are invited to join us for a special screening of Captain Cook: Obsession and Discovery with special guest Andrew Ferns, proud Canadian and series producer.

Experience adventure on the high seas as we journey around the world in the wake of one of the greatest explorers of all time -- Captain James Cook. A hero to some, a curse to others, this son of an English farm laborer mapped more of the globe than any other man in three incredible voyages.

This four part mini-series, which recently aired on KCTS 9, won the Gemini Award for Best History Program and the Leo Award for Best Documentary Series.

7:30 p.m. Opening Remarks by Suzanne Greening and KCTS 9 and showing of Episode 1, Captain Cook: Obsession and Discovery: A Likely Lad
8:15 p.m. Producer Andrew Ferns relates experiences of sailing on the Endeavour with
the crew of this Australian/Canadian series that is part biography, part travelogue.
