Living Voices will be joining us to perform a dramatic piece on women's history as part of Women's History Month. Share the journey of The New American, from the turmoil of the old country, to the promise of America. The immigrant journey includes the steamship passage of 1910, the path through Ellis Island, the sweatshops of the lower east side of Manhattan.

Find your groove as you learn how Latino music can make curricular connections with your students! KCTS 9 and EMP educators will share resources that help teachers use the captivating world of Latin music and dance to engage students on standards-aligned explorations of social studies, music and Spanish language. Explore lesson plans, meet musical experts and take part in a hands-on jam session. All participating teachers will receive multi-media resources for PBS's Latin Music USA and EMP's American Sabor: Latinos in US Popular Music.
