Cook's Note: Reel NW's perfect Popcorn Pairing for Wheedle's Groove is a little sweet and a little smoky.

makes 2 quarts

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts popped popcorn
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/8 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon finely ground black pepper

Preparation

Place popcorn in a large bowl. Set aside. Place butter and honey in a small glass bowl and microwave for 40 seconds. Add liquid smoke to the hot butter and honey, whisking to combine. Drizzle the hot butter mixture over the popcorn a little at a time, stirring to coat evenly. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the popcorn, and mix well.
