Olympia’s 5th Annual Sea Cinema Festival celebrates World Oceans Day from 6:00pm to 10:30pm. This free and family friendly event will showcase: independent films by producers of all ages, including Stormwater, an award winning documentary produced by KCTS 9’s EarthFix reporter Katie Campbell, a special guest performance by Evergreen Ballet, guest speakers, intermission by Taylor United Shellfish, and globally acclaimed film Chasing Ice. The festival is in two parts: from 6-8pm there will be screenings of independent films and Chasing Ice, will screen at 8:30pm allowing for a half an hour intermission to enjoy the Oceans Gallery and shellfish tasting from Taylor United Shellfish. A People’s Choice Award and prizes will be awarded at the end of the festival and there will be a free raffle for all attendees. Click here for more info.
