To the Moon, Mars, & Beyond: Robotic Spacecraft Exploration
Josh Bandfield, Ph.D.,
Department of Earth & Space Sciences, UW
From Mercury to Pluto, and from the Moon to Mars, NASA currently is exploring our solar system using a variety of robotic spacecraft. At the May Tacoma Science Café, join UW’s Joshua Bandfield, Ph.D., to discuss the ins and outs of working on missions that use unmanned spacecraft, including the relationship between Murphy's Law and lens caps, and how to cope when inundated with 200 billion temperature measurements of the Moon. Download the PDF flyer.

Tacoma Science Café is held on the second Tuesday of each month. Did you miss a café and want to hear the discussion? Most Science Cafés are recorded by KCTS 9 and are available for online viewing. Tacoma Science Cafés take place at The Swiss Pub and are presented in partnership with Pacific Science Center and KCTS 9.
