Over the decades, the image of Seattle has been captured on screen many times, from major Hollywood productions to television series, to small independent films. For the first half of this program, film critic Robert Horton will speak about the history of film and film-going in Seattle. Then, we will screen winning films from MOHAI's second annual History Is ____ Film Competition -- a community event that explores how we define history, both as individuals and as a society.

Join us on the third Thursday of the month at Roy Street Coffee on Capitol Hill for lively a discussion about history. Each History Café features a different topic, and invites history enthusiasts to come together and share what you know. Grab a cup of coffee -- or glass of wine -- and enjoy learning about the past!

Seating at History Café is available on a first-come, first-served basis. RVSP is not required. This event series is brought to you by MOHAI, The Seattle Public Library, HistoryLink.org, Roy Street Coffee and KCTS 9.
