The anti-gun folks always love to cite "gun deaths" in the US vs the UK as an example of why we need stricter gun laws. What they conveniently always leave out is the violent crime rate, which includes murders, rape, assault, etc.
The US does pretty darn well on violent crime. Our rate is below 500 oer 100,000 individuals. That's better than France. I'll take a higher gun death rate over an EXTREME violent crime rate any day.
